We do our best to maintain consistent finishes, but due to the nature of plating, there may be slight differences between batches. All Carson's Cove 12k Antiqued Gold finish components are plated with real 12k gold, and then antiqued. They are all the same gold, but highly textured pieces may look a bit different than smooth pieces because the texture captures more of the antiquing elements. Why 12k gold? Because 12k gold is a light, neutral gold without an orange tone, and it looks beautiful on every skin tone! CC Antiqued Silver finish differs from Antiqued Pewter finish in that the silver finish is brighter and lighter than the pewter finish. However, many designers mix and match the two. CC pewter components are made of high-quality pewter that is free of lead and cadmium. Most CC chain is made of regular steel, and some is made of brass. It is then plated with the various CC finishes.
