CRAYOLA/COLORING CRAFT COLLECTION PRICE REDUCED!!!(1/9/24) These two collections of Crayola Crayons both show some use--primarily the older set which dates after 1962. That is the year Crayola changed the name of the flesh colored crayon to the peach which is included in this box. I was still at home till 1966 so I must have been the user. Some folks are crediting this box to the 70's, but by that time I was way past using crayons. The Big Box of Crayons is copyrighted 1994 and it has had much lighter usage. While the tip of the Atomic Tangerine is broken off, that tip is still in the box. Most of the others are untouched. There's lots of life and coloring left in these two collections. Who doesn't remember Crayola Crayons as a kid. Their smell is the 18th most familiar scent for adults in the United States. The first pack was offered for sale in 1903 and had 8 colors--brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet and black. In 1958 the company introduced it's largest box ever--the 64-box which featured a built in sharpener in the back of the box, a huge improvement to my 10 year old mind. In 1990, for the first time ever, 8 colors were retired--green blue, raw umber, orange yellow, violet blue, maize, lemon yellow, blue gray and orange red. We will be listing all of the various collections of new and old crayons, colored pencils(Mongol and Pedigree), color sticks and water color paint sets that are in our possession thanks to my sister who had a passion for collecting things she remembered from our childhood.
