It can stand up when not in use and can be locked in the open or closed position. It uses all standard 45 mm replacement blades. In the "unlocked" position, as you apply pressure the blade will engage with the fabric. Warning: this is a sharp cutting tool so take care when using. Always close the blade when not in use.
