This listing is for a thumb turn latch set with a small milk glass knob and a spring loaded latch. These are typically used on closet or bathroom doors. The small knob twists to release the latch and open the door. It is spring loaded so the latch automatically engages when the knob is not turned. The chrome or nickel plated metal is in excellent condition as is the milk glass knob.  The backset or length of the piece that sits inside the door is approx 7/8.
