The extra fine plate has an 800 grit for refining your blade edge, ideal for finishing or resharpening a blade. The extra coarse plate has a 220 grit that is perfect for removing material when re-profiling or repairing a blade edge. The leather stropping kit can be used as the final step for refining the blade to its sharpest possible edge. When combined with the honing compound it provides a professional edge that can stand up to any task.
