These garlands are made by hand in Nepal. A women's cooperative cuts and assembles each element of the garlands body and sews them together into an approximately 6 foot long garland.
The decorative paper is also made by hand. The Lokta paper is made using bark of the Daphne plant. The bark is sustainably harvested while the plant remains alive. Then the bark is formed into sheets and hand screen printed. Use the Handmade Lokta Paper Zoo Animal Garland to decorate for your next party!
