This handmade 14 mm maple wood crochet hook is perfect for rag rug making with sheet yarn. I use this size hook when making rag rugs and using sheet yarn that is 1.25 to 2.5. 14 mm is a lovely size for basket make or using with t-shirt yarn too. This hook size is one of my favorite sizes hooks for making rag rugs. The slightly pointed tip helps you navigate into correct stitch however makes the pulling back through of the fabric easier on the hand, wrist and forearm.  My husband worked with me to tweak it for fabric rag rug crocheting.  I am pleased with the way it performs. They are 14 mm (P) and approximately 8.5 long. Having a longer hook (8.5) makes it more comfortable than most standard crochet hooks.  All wooden 14 mm crochet hooks are made with maple which is a light wood and glassy smooth feel, because they are handmade they will have slight variations. They feel great in your hand.
