Learn how to thread an inkle loom and read a pattern. We will make one band in class that incorporates several techniques. This class will open a whole new world to you, whether you are a reenactor or simply a modern crafter looking to expand your horizons. Bands have been used for thousands of years to contain things, close bags, keep hair neat, as a button band to match sweaters, to hold your socks up or your blouse to your body. Day/Date/Time: Sunday, 2/4/2023, from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. This class meets once. Required Supplies/Equipment/Books: Inkle loom, belt shuttle, scissors and note-taking material. Class fee includes: handout, a packet of yarn and other supplies. Prerequisite: No prior weaving experience is required. Know how to make a square knot and an overhand knot (see our video at Joan Sheridan's channel ). Pre-Class Prep: If your loom is other than a Schacht or Ashford, please email a sideview or the loom to the instructor prior to class to confirm suitability. (info@) Instructor: Joan Sheridan Minimum: 4 students Maximum: 10 students See our class policies here .
