Description

As the name Neo implies, this is Iwata’s entry-level airbrush label, and it is offered in the two main styles of airbrushes: siphon- or gravity-feed. Our review sample is the Neo CN, a gravity-feed type. Gravity-feed airbrushes perform well at lower air pressures, which help create greater detail. Another differentiating feature between airbrushes is the trigger style: single- or dual-action. To explain the difference in simple terms, a single-action trigger delivers paint and air at the same time when depressed. The dual-action trigger has a slide, which means when you depress the trigger only air comes out, but as you slide the trigger aft it feeds the paint out around the needle. Our Neo CN has a dual-action trigger with a 0.35 mm needle and nozzle combination. Most lower-end airbrushes are commonly single-action.

Iwata Beginner Airbrush Kit with NEO CN is perfect for the first time or occasional user because it delivers soft, effortless coverage and quality atomization at low air pressures making it a great choice for general purpose spraying. This airbrush has a detachable 0.24 oz / 7 ml fluid cup with lid that is large enough for color mixing and an additional 0.05 oz / 1.50 ml color cup that is ideal when using small amounts of spray medium.

Replacement 0.35mm Needle for the NEO CN Gravity-Feed Dual-Action Airbrush Gun made for Iwata. Iwata needles are made of precision ground and hardened stainless steel that will withstand prolonged usage. They are, however, subject to easy physical damage because of the long tapered, extremely fine tip. If the needle point becomes severely bent, it must be straightened before pulling it back through the nozzle. If not, the bent needle might damage the nozzle as its pulled through.
