This authentic Marseille Soap Cube ("Savon de Marseille") handcrafted in Provence by Marius Fabre contains at least 72% vegetable oils. It is cooked in a cauldron according to the traditional Marseilles soap-making process and it contains no coloring, no added fragrances and no synthetic products. Marseille soap has been handcrafted in France for about 600 years and Marius Fabre (member of the Union of Marseille Soap Makers) is one of four manufacturers still crafting genuine Marseille soap today. Natural and effective, this amazing French soap is very gentle on the skin which makes it ideal for people with sensitive skin and allergies. It has no added fragrances so this will be a totally new experience for some. Its natural aroma does dissipate when wet. I personally find it very earthy, like freshly-cut hay, and it makes me feel as if I was holding a little piece of the earth.
