Illustration for page 84 of The Tale of the Flopsy Bunnies, 1909, Beatrix Potter. Beatrix Potter (1866-1943) was an English writer, illustrator, natural scientist and conservationist best known for her children’s books featuring animals, most notably The Tale of Peter Rabbit. This watercolour from The Tale of the Flopsy Bunnies shows Thomasina, who helped save the baby bunnies by chewing a hole in the sack that Mr McGregor had tied them in, having received a large quantity of rabbit wool for Christmas, which she used to make 'to make herself a cloak and a hood, and a handsome muff and a pair of warm mittens.
