The whole blade of this tool has been tempered for increased durability, and the grip has been designed to improve tool control when in use. The machined brass ferrule of this tool is fastened by a small nail, which keeps the shank in place while preventing the handle from breaking.

When dealing with varying leather thicknesses, this tool features three different-sized grooves that can be used as a slicker for burnishing the edges. You can also use this tool to finish the edges of your leather by adding wax by heating the spatula-shaped blade. For decorative or functional purposes, the blade's tip can be utilized to create crease lines.
