Description

Mark all light fabrics with the Fine Line water soluble fabric marking pen. This water soluble pen produces a thin line that is easy to see on light fabrics.
Mark light fabrics easily with the Fine Line water soluble blue pen. When it comes to marking designs on your quilt top, the Fine Line Pen is one of the most reliable, dependable pens available to quilters today. Unlike most water erasable marking pens, this pinpoint tip marker produces a very fine, thin line that's easy to follow whether you're free motion quilting or using a walking foot. Instructions for use: Wash and dry fabric according to manufacture's recommendations, and press the fabric to remove any wrinkles. Using the Fine Line Pen, mark your design on the fabric. Do not expose to heat of any kind! Do not iron, do not leave in a hot room / car or exposed to hot sunlight as this can heatset the marks. Once the marks are no longer needed and your project is complete, soak it in lukewarm water for 30 minutes to remove all traces of the marks and the chemicals within the fabric. Learn how to use this pencil in this video: Be sure to test The Fine Line pen on a scrap of fabric before using and make sure the marks dissolve completely to your satisfaction. On rare occasions, certain dyes in the material may make the marks difficult to remove, so prewashing fabric is always recommended. Looking for a pen to also mark medium to dark fabrics? Check out the Ceramic Fabric Marking Pencil that marks the same thin line that's easy to see while quilting. Personally, I use both marking instruments! Click Here to check out our convenient Mark Your Quilt Kit and save on both. Special Note from Leah: I've had personal experience with quilt markings not washing out with The Duchess. That's why I'm extremely careful when selecting the marking tools I use for my quilts. Trust me, the last thing you want to do is spend all your time quilting a quilt, only to find that it's ruined with permanent marks. That's why I use the Fine Line marking pens for light colored fabrics. No other pen can give you a line as fine and visible, and no other pen washes out as easily. Make sure to follow the directions and test your fabric first. Sometimes red dyes can effect the water soluble nature of the pens. Of course, this won't be an issue if you're prewashing your fabric.
