Wire Hoops, Row Cover Hoops
These 3/16" gauge stainless steel wire hoops are perfect for use in addition to row covers to add a 4-6 week extension on the season. They keep row covers and plastic from direct contact with the plant, leading to better airflow, heat retention, and overall plant health. These can also be used in greenhouses and high tunnels or under taller low hoops that hold plastic, adding 5 degrees of protection to any space. Space hoops 2-4' apart, and secure the ends deeply. Hoops are 76" from end to end and fit well over 30"-48" beds. Use with 7-foot row cover for a single bed, or run 10-foot row cover or two parallel hooped beds.
Use support wire to create low tunnels with slitted or punched row covers, or use wires to support floating row covers. Support hoops keep the row covers off of foliage, protecting plants from frost damage and providing them with better air movement. Wire is available in coils or in pre-cut straight lengths Straight cut pieces are easily bent to create an arch in the row cover every 4-5 ft and are available in lengths of 54 and 76.
