The act of hanging bells on the door is a tradition that dates back 1000's of years to the Celts. Much as Christians believe the ringing of bells clears a space of negative energy and infuses it with positive energy, the Celts practiced this belief long before.
Witches Bells are a passive protection spell for your home. They come in any shape or form, can be loud or gentle, and generally hang on the doorknob. I do recommend those with small children or curious familiar to hang them higher as they could be destroyed or create a choking hazard depending on the bell.
