A rare Chinese bamboo noted for its widened culm nodes, like two closed cymbals. Used for walking sticks in Sichuan. Graceful, arching green culms with delicate palmate foliage resemble a large, lacey Japanese maple. Moderate runner. Chimonobambusa is a genus of East Asian bamboo. They are native to China, Japan, Vietnam, Myanmar, and the Himalayas.
